No, all forms of recording will be strictly prohibited by Al Kawthar Academy to prevent plagiarism and illegal distribution of private intellectual material.

All current courses will be taught at a beginner level. Higher level courses may require students to pass a short test before allowing attendance. This is to ensure that the student does not waste time on topics too advanced for him/her.

We ask that only serious students of knowledge or those who are looking to better themselves and benefit from the blessed atmosphere of the courses to attend. We will exclude anyone who tries to abuse any part of the course and where required take legal action.

The majority of our courses, including this one are currently introductory courses and hence there are no entry requirements. All our courses are for those who are serious about learning and bettering themselves. Punctuality, commitment, respect for; the teachers, fellow students and the venue are important to the smooth running of this course. Qualifying students will be expected to sign a contract of agreement between themselves and the Al Kawthar Academy.

Those who successfully register will be given access to a password protected area of our website wherein they will find details relevant to their particular course, such as the latest updates, downloads, preparation details and other relevant information.

We are currently planning to hold courses nationwide in the UK, with the potential to move into Europe and International if the demand is high enough. We have so far held classes in Leicester, Birmingham and London.

Our courses are not madhab-biased but rather general enough to cover all the four major schools of thought. However, where detailed fiqh based topics are covered, then it will more than likely be Hanafi based.

Yes of course and nothing that deviates from this. All our teachers have official ijazas (authorisations) from endorsed scholars with unbroken chains going back to the Best of Creation, the Prophet Muhammad ??? ???? ???? ????. We try to never delve into any areas of contention or those which may cause unnecessary fitnah, Insha-Allah.

Our teachers are Sunni, the Al Kawthar Academy is a non-partisan educational organisation, and we are not affiliated with any groups, Islamic organisations or Mosques. We do our best to provide the positions of all four schools of fiqh when teaching. We welcome all committed students of knowledge, whether they follow a school of thought or not.

We cater for males and female students, and provide segregated and equal facilities. This is something we believe in passionately and support. However, it is recommended that those sisters who do attend should inform family members of their attendance. For those sisters who are married, permission from their husband is advised, and for those not married from the father or guardian.

Imam Bukhari has a chapter in his Saheeh about 'The Imam of the People lecturing women.' Here we learn that any layperson should not lecture women; it should be the leading scholars who are known for the knowledge, trustworthiness and piety. Insha'Allah our teachers fulfil this criteria.

We aim to offer full hijab for sisters so they can be at ease, so this would typically involve brothers and sisters being seated separately with a partition in between, and a partition between the teacher and the female students. An audio/video link is used to aid concentration and so that any practical examples, diagrams, presentations can be seen.

On occasions, because of the venue, we may not be able to achieve the desired level of hijab. We will do our best to limit any potential fitnah, and sisters are advised to observe proper hijab. Please contact us before any given course to find out the exact arrangements.

All students must dress modestly and in-line with what the shariah has prescribed. This means covering the awrah (private part of the body) completely, not wearing any garment that may cause offence or make a sound.

Yes anybody under the age of 11 will not be permitted on our courses. For students 11-16 years old, we require a compulsory consent form or letter from their guardians. Any consent will be verified and confirmed by our administration team to make sure it is not forged.

All courses will be delivered in person and live, however we may set-up something for overseas students, again if the demand is high enough to warrant a justification for it. None the less, we will have an on-line resource centre which all students will have access to via user name and password that will contain learning material and bonus literature.

No, you do not need to know Arabic as the courses will be delivered in the English language. However a basic knowledge will definitely aid you in recognising and understanding certain names or terminologies mentioned in the courses. We will endeavour to provide English translation and transliteration if and when we think it is needed to aid the students.

No, unfortunately there will be no refunds for missing part of the course you have already paid for due to the limited number of spaces we will have. However each circumstance will be looked at individually and where there is room for flexibility it will be exercised at the discretion of Al Kawthar Academy.

We will, Insha'Allah, try to adjust food menus for those with strict dietary requirements as a will of good gesture. This can be stated in the compulsory registration form. However Al Kawthar Academy will take no liability for any allergic reactions caused by food we provide at out courses. For those with severe allergies, please arrange your own food and bring it to the course. We will store it for you if we have the facilities to do so.

We can cater for people with disabilities depending on the type of venue and the nature of what is being taught on the course. All cases will however be treated individually and with a high level of sensitivity as it is not in the nature of Al Kawthar Academy to turn students of knowledge away without trying to help first.

At the moment we do not have any official 'tester' courses, however we may allow people to visit during the teaching sessions to gain a feel for the environment. This will only be done under the discretion of Al Kawthar Academy and only in circumstances where we feel it will benefit those requesting this.

Yes, of course you can. However, to do this you will be screened and may require references from reliable referees after registering. This is only to ensure that anyone who helps maintains the very high level of service provided by Al Kawthar Academy. Further details on this are available in the Students Home section.

Some of the sessions, especially the introductory sessions are essential for understanding the subject matter. If you are unable to attend these, you may not be allowed to attend the remainder of the course.

The Al Kawthar Academy has longed to provide the services, classes and products that the Muslims so desperately need, but often due to a lack of funds these remain but desires. In order to provide services in a professional and efficient manner, funds and resources are needed. Sadly many Muslims want the service but do not want to pay for it. The price for Jannah is not cheap, and we hope these courses will take you closer to achieving Jannah, as Allah says:

O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty? That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! [al-Qur'61/10-11]
